Chestfield has a circular walk, four and a half miles long, using public rights of way and covering local countryside, our historic Tudor buildings, the Conservation Area, Grasmere pasture, and including the lovely public footpath through parts of the Golf course. The new Walk passes by examples of all the stages in the growth of our village since the First World War. You can start the walk at Sainsbury’s, Grasmere Pastures, The Recreation Ground, Molehill Road or from close to “The Chestfield Barn” Public House.

Approximately 30 minutes
Chestfield Parish Council has developed this walk designed for wheelchair and pushchair users along with children under supervision. The walk is part of its contribution to helping residents have an increasingly healthy lifestyle. It takes in some of our historic buildings and other points of interest.
Please note some roads are unadopted, some have warning signs in place about traffic calming (speed humps) and speed limits. Some roads are narrow in places without pavements, so please exercise care.
The walk starts and finishes at the play park at Chestfield Road, which has free parking, and a well-equipped play area with an accessible roundabout and swing.
